super 8 video
When I first was introduced to Super 8 video it broke my heart that I hadn't discovered it before my own wedding. The vibrant and vintage color palette, the feeling of being transported back in time. I knew I had it get a Super 8 camera and add it to capture those memories for my couples in a both beautiful and unique way. Super 8mm video is captured on Canon video cameras from the 1960's and 1970's on actual Kodak film. The film is then sent to a lab, developed and then scanned.
The anticipation between filming and seeing what was captured is when of my favorite parts of the format, like waiting for a present to come in the mail.
After we get the footage back, we color correct, and edit it in a cinematic yet raw and real way and add the perfect soundtrack (Super 8 video does not capture sound). Because it's done on actual film, there are some unique characteristics, from stunning lens flares, film grain, and a quality that just can't be created any other way. There's a reason artists like Taylor Swift and Lana del Ray are using Super 8 film in 2024 for music videos and more. It's the wedding trend that you don't want to miss. We could not be more enthusiastic to share this with you in 2024.
